“Bottle Girls” by Jeffrey H. MacLachlan

We’re trap queens Ace
of Spade champagne flutes
ballet spins through
James Madison
confetti and raise
angelic hands up
platinum manicures
pearl sparkle dust
electro hymns repeat
never go to bed
before colossal beats
drop like God
flips the crowd upside down
sudden coin toss
whisper through the strobe
light and laser neon
rule the velvet wings
origami thousands
into peacocks
clients think impress us
another monotonous
suzerain next shift
